reasonable communtable distances, within walking distance Makerverde School of Timber Deliveries Distribution Commute Maker Verde is a research programme working with the Downham Dividend Society to provide localised employment through construction skills training and the production of community assets. Our ten giding principles are: • To localise training opportunities and mitigate the need to travel by motor • Work towards fixing and making good London's (negeclected) councils estates • To create healthy environments using reclaimed materials - ie felled timber • Work at achieving better environmental standards for the construction industry • To add value to labour and craft • Work towards more localised modes of production and oppurtunity • To make epic sawn wood products (not burn) from felled urban timber • Work on ownership and pride of place - This world is yours - own it! • To lobby for access to all, everywhere, especially nice green spaces • Work with local borough councils to help them fulfill their obligations
